Welcome To My Life
This is a typical scene I encounter every weekend and many weekdays now.
How can anyone even tell the difference…?
I am drowning in shallow water.
It is a tide, but a tide of endless crests of unceasing waves. An impossible amount of dark, suffocating water. The waves started small at first but over time my strength has waned and my head now slips under. Every time I breach the surface it is a harder struggle than before, and every time I gasp for air another wave crashes on top of me. The icy water covers my face, fills my nostrils, and numbs my limbs as the stale air in my lungs burn. I can’t struggle like this for much longer.
On the other hand, it will be pretty sweet when it’s all finished. Can’t wait!
What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same, and nothing that you did mattered?
