After some unsuccessful attempts at a new car CD, I think I’m going to ditch the idea of conventional, modern songs I currently like. I think I’ll go psuedo-retro instead, and loot the 70’s and the 80’s for some quality riding music. Maybe some Neil Diamond, BJ Thomas, Tennessee Ernie Ford, James Brown, or if I’m feeling particularly brave – some Eurythmics. Or is that like 60’s stuff? Psh, what do I know about music? To kick it off, I checked out this site for inspiration. And let me tell you – it’s quality.

So I’m going to run off now and catch up on my movies-I-have-not-yet-watched-but-really-should list. Tonight will be the first of a truly classic series of comedy and ridiculously bad accents – the Pink Panther. I’ve only watched the third one, and dammit it was…quality. If you haven’t watched any of these movies, you should kill yourself to save me the time needed in tracking you down.

And speaking of comedy, this poor kid just doesn’t get a break. I’ve heard his family’s got a lawsuit out against the chaps that put the video up on the internet in the first place, and that there’s a group of people who have banded together to buy him an iPod. But I feel it’s legit – he sacrifices his dignity in exchange for world wide fame, an iPod, and to bring hilarity into the homes of internet geeks all over the world. I’d do it. In fact, I have – and continue to – consistently barter away my dignity for much less.

Oh, and speaking of ridiculously bad accents…remember that insane mouse trap style Honda ad a bit back? I gotcha a parody, advertising some website. I haven’t checked the site out yet, and I haven’t even clicked on the link, so for all you know it could be some goatse.cx type of thing. But the brief description I have of it goes…”These are websites dedicated to two extraordinary men. Powerful, powerfully moustached men who quite literally refuse to stop.” …so I don’t know what to make of it – I’ll check it out after Pink Panther. But the video is great stuff – “Looking good, feeling good!”
